- I was born in Ferghana, Uzbekinstan into a Russian Christian family. Moved to United States in 1996, met a love of my life in 1998 who is also Russian from Riga, Latvia. Got married in 2001, and since had two wonderful boys who are 6 and 4 now. While still in college, I designed my first window treatment for fun. Relatives who came over, started asking me to make some for them, and on, and on. At one point I realized that I had a talent for making a designing window treatments, so I desided to open a full-service drapery workroom, which I operate from my home. It allows me to be with my kids and set my own schedule. I really enjoy watching reactions of my customers after I install a window treatment for them. Those reactions make it all worth it.
